Ingredients
  

  • 4 slices of bread white, wheat, or sourdough
  • 6 slices of bacon
  • 1 large tomato sliced
  • 4 leaves of crisp lettuce romaine or iceberg
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: avocado slices cheese, or fried egg for extra flavor

Instructions
 

  • Cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, then transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease.
  • Toast the bread slices until golden brown.
  • Spread mayonnaise evenly on one side of each slice of bread.
  • Layer lettuce, tomato slices (season with salt and pepper), and crispy bacon between two slices of bread.
  • Top with the remaining bread slices, mayo-side down.
  • Slice the sandwich in half and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use thick-cut bacon for a more hearty sandwich.
  • For extra crunch, add pickles or cucumber slices.
  • To make it healthier, use turkey bacon or whole-grain bread.
